Ocean First Marine launches new ranges of RIBS and Fast Fishing boats at Southampton International Boat Show

See the World Premier of Norden 600 from 3D Craft, Featherlight range of ultra-lightweight aluminium RIBs and Nividic 550 RIB.

Specialist RIB supplier Ocean First Marine will be hosting the first viewing of a new hard boat from French manufacturer 3D Craft at this year’s Southampton International Boat Show.  It is the first chance in the world to see the new Norden range from 3D Craft, a division of the French RIB manufacturer, 3D Tender.  These highly-specialist fast fisher aluminium boats are completely new to the UK, and are the first of their type to be supplied by a European manufacturer available exclusively in the UK through Ocean First Marine.

The Norden range of aluminium boats feature 3D’s renowned high-precision stabilized hulls.  Designed with a combination of air and foam compartments integrated into the aluminium hull form, 3D Craft are designed to reduce rolling when stationary, and to ensure a smooth, highly manoeuvrable ride even in the roughest conditions.

The Norden 600 model (6m) will be on show and the range includes the larger Norden 695 and 770 models.  Fully equipped for long-distance offshore and coastal use, these high-spec boats come with a combination of internal or external cockpit layouts, suspension seats and on the larger boats, a fully enclosed cabin with compact kitchen and optional onboard toilet.  With grab hand rails, rod holders, side storage trays, and optional bluetooth stereo speakers, these craft are designed for comfort and ease of use for long distance fishing or dive trips – including dive ladder, 40L fish tank, washdown pump kit, and optional EVA anti-slip floor.  All craft come complete with LED deck lights, LED search lights and headlights, bilge pump and electric windlass.

“We’re delighted to be launching the new Norden range of fast aluminium RIBs into the UK,” says Simon Bennett of Ocean First Marine.  “These sophisticated fishing craft are a style normally only seen around New Zealand and Australia, where they are extremely popular.  Now they are available from a European manufacturer with a highly regarded reputation for the design and build of sophisticated and seaworthy craft, a notable first for the UK market.”

Ocean First Marine will also be showing the new Featherlight range of ultra-lightweight aluminium RIBS on the stand.  Visitors and the media can also see a Featherlight 335 model  on the water, being used as a demonstration boat for the new TEMO 1000 electric outboard, which is being launched at the show by Marine Components International (Stand J296).

Also on display is the new competitively priced, high spec, all-purpose Nividic 550 aluminium RIB ideal for a variety of uses and the perfect mid-sized family RIB.  As with all 3D Tender RIBs, the Nividic is available in Mehler PVC or ORCA Hypalon and comes complete with console, driver seat, rear bench and roll bar all supplied as standard. With years of expertise supplying specialist RIBs into the UK market, the team at Ocean First Marine are available throughout the show to provide helpful advice on the best RIB for all requirements.
