Marina Port Andratx conducts first full-scale emergency drill as IPM Group member

Marina Port Andratx recently conducted its first full-scale emergency drill since joining IPM Group, an initiative that ushers in a new chapter in the marina’s approach to safety, prevention and operational readiness.

The exercise saw the marina team take part in a series of drills designed to improve preparedness for potential incidents within a port setting, focusing on fire response, marine spill containment and emergency procedures in technical areas.

The programme included a range of practical exercises centred on emergency equipment handling and cross-department coordination, with a focus on response times, internal communication and decision-making under simulated emergency conditions.

This first drill is also an important milestone in the marina’s ongoing operational transition, reflecting a passionate commitment to preparedness, coordination and effective emergency response.

“It was especially important for us to hold this first emergency drill as part of the new phase currently underway at Marina Port Andratx,” said a representative from the marina, adding that “these exercises go beyond protocol compliance. They help prepare teams, improve coordination and embed a culture of safety and prevention from the outset.”

Thanks to actions like these, Marina Port Andratx is continuing to make headway in its integration into IPM Group, guided by a commitment to operational excellence, safety and the preservation of the natural surroundings.
