The South Coast & Green Tech Boat Show opens tomorrow at Ocean Village Marina in Southampton, launching its biggest show to date and inviting visitors to step on board the very latest in boating across the weekend (8–10 May).
With more than 120 boats on display, a strong line-up of UK and show debuts and a growing focus on greener technology, free tickets are now available for what has become a key event at the start of the season.
Set within the iconic Ocean Village Marina on the UK’s South Coast, the show offers a relaxed, open-air environment where visitors can explore a wide range of boats, meet leading brands and get a real feel for life on the water.
“This year’s show really builds on everything people enjoy about the event,” says Lauren Bright, Marina Manager at Ocean Village. “There’s more to see on the water, some fantastic new launches and a great mix of boats for all kinds of visitors. It’s a chance to step on board, take your time and have proper conversations with the people behind the brands.”
Following last year’s expansion, the 2026 show will feature its largest-ever display, with over 120 boats showcased across the marina. From practical family cruisers and performance boats to premium yachts and next-generation electric models, the line-up reflects the full breadth of today’s market.
Visitors are encouraged to step aboard and speak directly with manufacturers and brokers, whether they are considering their first boat or planning their next upgrade.
UK and show debuts take centre stage
This year’s event will host an exciting collection of UK and show debuts, giving visitors the chance to see some of the most talked-about new launches up close.
Highlights include the UK debuts of the Fairline Targa 47 GT and Targa 50 Edition, alongside the British Isles debut of the Saxdor 400 GTS and the UK premiere of the Yamarin Aura Cabin.
A wide range of show debuts will also be on display, including new models from Azimut, Bellini, Navan, Broadblue, Fountaine Pajot and more. Together, they bring a mix of performance, design and innovation that continues to draw visitors back year after year.
A leading showcase for greener boating
The South Coast & Green Tech Boat Show continues to strengthen its position as one of the UK’s leading showcases for sustainable marine technology.
Visitors will be able to explore a broad range of electric boats, hybrid propulsion systems and energy-efficient onboard solutions, alongside the companies driving these developments forward. From electric outboards to solar integration, battery storage and watermakers, the show highlights practical ways to reduce environmental impact while enhancing time on the water.
A key feature this year is the latest innovation from Fischer Panda UK | Power Solutions, who will be announcing a new partnership introducing one of the most energy-efficient watermaker systems currently available.
“People are increasingly interested in how they can make boating more efficient and more sustainable,” adds Bright. “What’s valuable about this event is that you can see those technologies in one place and speak to the experts about how they work in real life.”
Innovation Hub and expert insight
A central feature of the show, the Innovation Hub brings together a focused programme of expert-led talks on the live stage.
Sessions cover key industry topics, from the Cruising Association’s Marked Gear = Safe Gear campaign on improving safety at sea, to Southampton Maritime Volunteer Service exploring how lessons from the Titanic continue to shape today’s safety standards. White Dot Sailing will share practical advice on preparing yachts for long-distance cruising, while Ocean Youth Trust South highlights how sail training helps build confidence and life skills for young people.
Innovation and sustainability remain central, with Fischer Panda UK | Power Solutions discussing smarter onboard energy systems, including hybrid solutions and efficient power management. A dedicated session on hydrogen from Ecomar Propulsion will also explore its role as a future fuel for the marine sector.
Together, the programme offers visitors the chance to hear directly from experts and gain insight into the ideas shaping modern boating.
