Premier Marinas retains EcoVadis Silver and celebrates a successful community coastal cleanup initiative

In celebration of their ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability, Premier Marinas is proud to announce the retention of its EcoVadis Silver rating, placing them in the top 11% of companies assessed by EcoVadis – a globally trusted provider of business sustainability ratings.

To mark this achievement and continue driving local environmental efforts, Premier Marinas teamed up with Sea Angling Classic and Veolia to host a community coastal walk and litter pick around Portchester Castle on Sunday 8th June – World Ocean Day.

Encouraging community involvement in preserving and protecting our coastline, over 60 volunteers of all ages came together on the day with a shared goal: to protect our shoreline and reduce marine litter. Walking the scenic and historic coastal route around Portchester Castle and Premier Trafalgar Wharf, an incredible community effort resulted in 92kg of coastal waste being cleared in just one afternoon.

Premier Marinas, which owns and operates 11 first-class marina locations along the South Coast, saw the event as a key opportunity to turn sustainability pledges into action. The event aligns with the company’s environmental commitments, and its recent EcoVadis rating reaffirms its commitment to responsible operations across all sites.

“We’re incredibly proud to retain our EcoVadis Silver rating and continue leading the way in sustainable marina management,” says Peter Wortley, EHS Manager at Premier Marinas. “As a Group, we are in a position of responsibility to maintain the environment in which we operate and where our customers enjoy spending time. This community cleanup allowed us to work further with Sea Angling Classic and Veolia to bring people together in support of environmental care.”
