Hovertravel supports Shaping Portsmouth Ambassadors with cruise visits

Hovertravel has launched a series of familiarisation trips for Shaping Portsmouth Ambassadors so they can help visiting cruise passengers to have the best possible time in Portsmouth.
The ‘FAM’ trips will including a flight on the hovercraft and the chance to meet some key members of the Hovertravel team, including a pilot.
Neil Chapman, managing director of Hovertravel, says: “Providing these ambassadors with the opportunity to travel onboard a hovercraft flight is the ultimate way to inform the cruise market and other industry partners about our unique product.
“We appreciate all the hard work the ambassadors do for us, especially during their welcome days at Portsmouth International Port and my team is really looking forward to showcasing our service in this way. We are delighted by the interest and enthusiasm for this upcoming  ‘FAM’ trip and are excited for the ambassadors to  share their experiences with new potential customers.”
Hovertravel has been a member of Shaping Portsmouth for many years and recognises the contribution that volunteers such as the ambassadors make to the promotion of Portsmouth. Their warm welcome is often the first contact for visitors and their knowledge of what can make a great day out has a positive impact for all.
Neil adds: “For cruise customers who need some inspiration or extra information about what they can do during their brief time in Portsmouth, these ambassadors represent the entire city and we are keen to support them and work with them.”
