Poole Harbour welcomed two superyachts, Leviathan and Draak, last week, with the vessels berthed stern-to-stern at the port’s deep-water facility.
At 111 metres, Leviathan made her second visit to Poole Harbour, having first visited in November 2025, while 93-metre Draak has recently completed an extensive rebuild at Dutch shipyard Oceanco.
The Marina and Port of Poole teams worked closely with the vessels and their representatives throughout their stay to ensure all their requirements were met. This included the complex logistics of berthing both yachts stern-to-stern alongside the berth, as well as waste disposal, craning operations and other specialist services.
Poole Harbour has welcomed 13 superyachts so far this year, accounting for 45 nights, with further visits expected before the end of the season.

The port’s deep-water berth, South Quay, regularly accommodates a variety of vessels of up to 210 metres in length, from superyachts and cargo vessels to international ferries and ultra-luxury cruise ships. Its deep-water access is a key part of Poole Harbour’s growing superyacht offering. The visit also highlights the facilities and credentials of PHC’s marina, Poole Quay Boat Haven, which is the only marina in the UK to hold The Yacht Harbour Association’s Superyacht Ready Accreditation and the only marina in the UK to hold all three TYHA accreditations: 5 Gold Anchor, Clean Marina and Superyacht Ready.
Poole Quay Boat Haven has also achieved significant recognition, having won TYHA’s Marina of the Year Award six times and been runner-up five times since the awards were launched in 2014.
