Peters & May Marks 20 Years with World Cruising Club as ARC Celebrates 40th Anniversary

As the 2025 Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) prepares to set sail from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on 23 November, Peters & May marks 20 years as the official logistics partner of the World Cruising Club. This milestone celebrates two decades of collaboration, shared vision and unwavering commitment to supporting the global sailing community.

As both organisations celebrate significant anniversaries – World Cruising Club marking its 40th year and Peters & May its 20-year partnership – this year’s ARC promises to be a landmark event, combining tradition, community and world-class logistical support.

Since 2005, Peters & May has played a pivotal role in the logistical success of World Cruising Club events, including the ARC and ARC Plus, ensuring the safe and efficient shipment of thousands of yachts to and from over 75 countries. With the support of Peters & May, participants have access to a wide range of global yacht shipping solutions from the Caribbean, as an alternative way to return to Europe and other destinations.

Beyond yacht transport, the company also manages sails, spare parts, and other essential equipment, expertly navigating customs regulations to support rally participants worldwide.

“For 20 years, Peters & May has been a trusted partner of the World Cruising Club, helping sailors start their journeys with confidence,” said Simon Judson, CEO of Peters & May. “As the 2025 ARC approaches, we are proud to continue providing the logistics expertise and support that make these extraordinary transatlantic adventures possible.”

This year, Peters & May is also delighted to once again sponsor the much-anticipated Sundowner social events in Las Palmas in the lead-up to the rally start. These gatherings have become a highlight of the ARC experience, giving crews the chance to relax and meet fellow participants before embarking on their transatlantic adventure.

The ARC 2025 will see over 140 yachts depart Las Palmas, covering approximately 2,700 nautical miles to Rodney Bay Marina, Saint Lucia. Participants will experience the thrill of crossing the Atlantic with the support of a rally renowned for its community spirit, safety measures, and comprehensive logistical support.

World Cruising Club Managing Director, Paul Tetlow added: “World Cruising Club values the long-standing support of Peters & May as one of our trusted Corporate Members. Over the past 20 years, Peters & May have played a vital role in helping countless sailors take part in our rallies, supporting their offshore cruising dreams and ensuring their yachts return home safely, ready for their next adventure.

“Long-term partnerships like this are essential to enhancing the way we support our participants, and we take immense pride in consistently delivering a high-quality experience year after year. This year marks the 40th Anniversary of the ARC Rally. It’s been an incredible journey so far. Peters & May have been a significant part of that story, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration for years to come.”

Peters & May’s services include expert yacht transport for yachts returning from the ARC, flexible shipping solutions from the Caribbean to Europe and beyond, customs and documentation support, and its real-time cargo tracking service.

Following the ARC season, Peters & May will continue its regular yacht transport operations from Florida and the Caribbean (Antigua/St Thomas) to Northern Europe and the Mediterranean between February and June. These post-season shipping windows are aligned with the typical return schedules of yachts completing the Atlantic crossing, providing coordinated transport options for vessels, equipment, and spares. Comprehensive customs and documentation assistance, along with real-time cargo tracking, help ensure smooth and transparent transits.
