World SUP Day makes a splash at Llys-y-frân Lake this Saturday

Stand-up paddleboarding enthusiasts and first-time paddlers alike are invited to celebrate World SUP Day at Llys-y-frân Lake this Saturday 12 September between 9.30am and 4.15pm, with special discounted paddleboarding offersavailable for one day only.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Pembrokeshire countryside, the popular reservoir will be welcoming visitors to get out on the water and experience one of the UK’s fastest-growing watersports.

For World SUP Day, visitors can take advantage of exclusive offers including:

  • 90-minute SUP hire for £12.50 (usually £25)
  • 90-minute self-launch for £5 (usually £10)

Whether you’re trying stand-up paddleboarding for the first time or are a seasoned paddler, Llys-y-frân Lake offers the perfect setting to explore the water at your own pace while enjoying the stunning scenery. Experienced instructors will be on hand throughout the day to offer guidance, build confidence and help newcomers get started safely on the water, ensuring everyone can make the most of their experience.

Visitors are welcome to bring their own paddleboards or hire equipment on site and enjoy a relaxing or adventurous day.

The fun doesn’t stop on the water. Llys-y-frân Lake offers a day out for families, friends and outdoor enthusiasts, with a range of activities and attractions available across the site. Visitors can enjoy the adventure playground, hire bikes to explore the area, test their skills on the pump track, browse the gift shop, or relax with a drink, ice cream, or meal in Lakeside café.

The site is also home to a network of walking and cycling trails that wind around the lake, offering breathtaking views and opportunities to spot local wildlife along the way.


The World SUP Day offers are available on Saturday 12 September only, and visitors are encouraged to book in advance.
