SEA-DOO brings next generation PWCs to the Southampton International Boat Show

SEA-DOO will be showcasing the next generation of its personal watercraft with the UK debut of the new SEA-DOO RXT-X and SEA-DOO  Spark-X on stand P46 at the Southampton Boat Show on 18 September at 11am. These two new PWCs have been designed by BRP’s R&D team to combine power, performance and handling to enhance the rider’s on-water experience.

The new  SEA-DOO RXT-X comes with a ST3 hull, which provides this PWC with high performance out on the water. Alongside the ST3 hull, the X sponsons, polished impeller and extended variable trim system with launch mode ensure riders are in total control whether they are accelerating across the water or making sharp turns. In addition, the power for on-water performance comes in the form of the new 350 HP Rotax engine, which has been designed from the ground up with performance at the forefront of the development process.

Complementing the SEA-DOO RXT-X is the new SEA-DOO Spark-X. This PWC is powered by the new  Rotax 1000 ACE 110 hp (80 kW) engine, which increases the Spark’s top speed by 15 per cent. It also improves the PWC’s power-to-weight ratio. This means that riders will experience stronger acceleration, improved handling and more responsive control and performance when out on the water. In addition, for peace of mind, it comes with the Intelligent Debris-Free Pump System (iDF) as standard. This system enables the rider to quickly clear debris from the pump system via the handlebar-mounted control.  For an elevated overall experience, the Spark-X also comes with a boarding step, a speed regulator, a BRP portable audio system as well as a coloured deck that makes the PWC stand out on the water.

The Spark-X is also available with a Trixx package, which includes adjustable riser handlebars for a more customised riding postion, a Trixx mode that offers more thrust in reverse to perform manoeuvres such as wheelies in the water, and extended range on the Variable Trim System so executing tricks on the water is made easier.

Like all previous SEA-DOO PWCs, these units can also be customised to the rider’s requirements with the help of LinQ accessories that include coolers to camera mounts. This customisability ensures each PWC is unique to the rider and where they are heading on their PWC adventure.

Mike Loach, BRP district commercial manager, UK, says, “The Southampton Boat Show provides the perfect opportunity to deliver the Spark-X and RXT-X to an engaged audience. The team is looking forward to showcasing the Spark-X’s enhanced performance and playful character as well as the  RXT-X’s impressive combination of power, handling and control. We believe these models are equipped with plenty of exciting features for visitors to discover in terms of how the next generation of SEA-DOO PWCs can take their on-water experience to the next level.”
