Andark marked its 50th Anniversary in style with a hugely successful Watersports Festival, welcoming hundreds of visitors from 26–28 June for three unforgettable days of activities, demonstrations and family fun.
Bathed in glorious sunshine throughout the weekend, the festival brought together the local community, watersports enthusiasts, families and industry partners to celebrate five decades of Andark’s passion for adventure, education and the water.
The packed programme offered something for everyone. Visitors enjoyed informative talks from industry experts, relaxing yoga sessions and sound baths, while leading brands showcased the latest equipment and innovations through interactive exhibition stands.
Families embraced the festival atmosphere with a host of activities including the ever-popular diving treasure hunt, try dives in the pool and try snorkelling in the lake, parent and child swimming sessions, stand-up paddleboard (SUP) challenges and plenty of inflatable fun on the water. Whether trying a new activity for the first time or simply soaking up the atmosphere, attendees of all ages enjoyed a memorable weekend. The event highlighted everything Andark has become known for over the past 50 years – inspiring confidence on the water, bringing people together and encouraging participation in watersports in a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment.
Miriam Goddard, MD of Andark commented:
“Celebrating 50 years of Andark was about so much more than marking a milestone – it was about bringing people together and celebrating the incredible community that has grown around us over the past five decades. Seeing so many families, friends, customers, instructors, clubs and partners enjoying the festival, trying new activities and sharing their passion for the water was truly inspiring. Our community has always been at the heart of everything we do, and events like this help strengthen those connections, welcome new people into the watersports family and ensure that spirit continues for the next 50 years. We’d like to thank everyone who came along, as well as our fantastic staff, volunteers, exhibitors and partners who helped make the weekend such a memorable event.”
As Andark looks ahead to the future, the company remains committed to providing exceptional training, equipment and experiences for divers, sailors, paddlers and watersports enthusiasts of all ages and abilities. The 50th Anniversary Watersports Festival was a fitting celebration of Andark’s rich history and an exciting reminder that the next chapter promises even more adventures to come.
