AI search filter enables buyers to search for boats

Rightboat, online boat sales marketplace, has introduced an AI search feature, enabling buyers to search for boats by simply describing what they want using ChatGPT.

Rightboat has enabled AI search as another way to effortlessly match buyers to their ideal boat in response to the growing number of people using AI platforms to buy a boat, with 72% of all consumers using generative AI in their purchase decisions.

Buyers can describe the boat they have in mind using long-tail search with all their requirements and must-haves and see relevant boats for sale from Rightboat without working through lists of filters. Buyers can search for a boat conversationally, in the same way they would talk to a broker or dealer. The ChatGPT plugin responds by matching boats from Rightboat.com, and buyers can continue the conversation and further refine these search results, whether that’s budget, location, boat type, intended use and more.

The launch of this feature for Rightboat also links initial boat buying research with real listings. Someone in the initial research phase in ChatGPT can now prompt Rightboat to show relevant boats for sale in the same conversation, then click through to full listings and contact the seller. Buyers can also progress from exploring boating plans to discover relevant Rightboat listings.

Josie Tucci, VP of Marketing and GM for North America, said: “People are using AI to research big purchases, and the same is true for buying a boat. We want buyers to be able to find real boats for sale wherever they choose to start their search. Tell ChatGPT what you’re after, and Rightboat does the rest.”
