The Marina Port Valencia project is making steady headway, with each completed phase revealing more of the ambitious transformation that will reconnect the waterfront with the city.
As the summer season gets underway, Marina City – the marina’s inner basin – is now ready to welcome its first customers with a full range of premium services.
Positioned in the most sheltered area of the port, Marina City has been designed to welcome yachts between 12 and 130 metres and boasts an exclusive central pontoon with berths from 15 metres, available for sale or rent for ten, 15 or 20 years. The facilities offer 24-hour security, fuel services and on-site parking, all underpinned by a passionate commitment to environmental stewardship that will help shape a more sustainable future for the Mediterranean’s blue economy.
Local residents will also be able to enjoy the latest additions at Marina Norte, where a restaurant will open in the former Panorama building. Its striking design already hints at a destination set to become one of Valencia’s leading culinary addresses. Construction will also begin at Marina Norte on a collection of new office buildings designed to attract leading companies and create a hub for networking, innovation and talent.
As the project involves the complete redevelopment of the marina, it will be delivered in planned phases over the coming years, allowing local residents to experience the marina’s new public spaces as each stage is completed. The key to this integration is a landscaping project designed by GM Paisajistas in coordination with the architects at ERRE Arquitectura. Gustavo Marina’s team has conceived a masterplan that links Marina Norte, Marina City and Marina Sur through a landscaped ‘green corridor’, creating a continuous route for pedestrians and cyclists lined by Mediterranean vegetation.
With this project, Marina Port Valencia will reconnect the city with the waterfront. In doing so, it responds to local leisure needs while providing businesses with an unrivalled waterfront environment, establishing Marina Port Valencia as a leading national and international destination built on the principles of sustainability.
