ExploMar, a manufacturer of electric propulsion systems for marine applications, has established a strategic partnership with Polish luxury motor yacht manufacturer Lamdo Yachts.
The partnership brings together Lamdo’s yacht-building expertise, the naval architecture and design of Tony Castro Yacht Design and ExploMar’s electric propulsion technology.
Powered by ExploMar’s WAVE 300 high-performance electric outboard propulsion system, the first project under the new partnership is the Lamdo Yachts eLY30+. This fully electric yacht recently made its debut at the 2026 POLBOAT Yachting Festival in Poland, where it received the Gdynia POLBOAT Awards 2026 Special Boats category award. The eLY30+ supports propulsion configurations from the ExploMar WAVE 70+ through to the WAVE 300.
Combining yacht construction with electric propulsion
Lamdo Yachts specialises in exclusive trawler-type motor yachts, with expertise in boat construction, onboard space optimisation and yacht-building. The eLY30+ is designed by Tony Castro Yacht Design and built by Lamdo Yachts.
ExploMar develops electric outboard propulsion systems and associated marine technologies, including electric outboard motors, marine battery systems and control technologies, which are extensively tested in real-world applications.
Through the partnership, the companies are combining yacht construction and electric propulsion capabilities to support the development of fully electric luxury vessels for European inland waterways and leisure boating applications.
Real-world testing in Poland’s Mazury Lake District
The eLY30+ equipped with the ExploMar WAVE 70+ has also completed real-world trials in Poland’s Mazury Lake District, one of Europe’s most important inland boating destinations with high requirements for vessel environmental performance. The trials assessed operating range, energy consumption and noise levels in an inland waterway environment. During testing, the WAVE 70+ system maintained cabin noise levels below 60 dB at maximum RPM and below 50 dB during cruising conditions.
Range testing calculations show nearly 17 hours of continuous operation at approximately 5 km/h and around 10 hours of navigation at approximately 8 km/h.
On a typical inland waterway route of approximately 36 km between Giżycko and Mikołajki, the vessel consumed around 24 kWh of energy per voyage.
The results provide operating data for the use of electric propulsion in inland leisure boating, where noise, energy efficiency and local emissions are important considerations.

Electric propulsion is gaining relevance across European inland waterways, protected areas and leisure tourism markets as countries and regions introduce measures to reduce emissions from marine transport.
For houseboats and leisure vessels operating on lakes, tourism routes and environmentally sensitive waterways, low-noise operation, zero tailpipe emissions and efficient energy use are increasingly relevant to vessel design and operation.
The eLY30+ project provides a reference for the integration of high-performance electric propulsion into luxury yachts designed for inland waters.
