The Dufour 430 and Dufour 390 will be joining the line-up of performance cruising yachts at the South Coast Boat Show 6 – 8 May, with specialist importers Universal Yachting.
This is a great opportunity to get a good insight into the Dufour range, as both yachts borrow styling, design features, equipment and smart layout ideas used in their larger and smaller sister yachts.
The Dufour 430 represents V3.0 of these elegant and distinctive Umberto Felci designed yachts. The perfect yacht for a mid-sized cruiser it is offered with three layout versions and three new interior options. With a redesigned coach roof creating additional volume below decks, without sacrificing the overall sleek design, the interior mirrors that of the larger Dufour 470 with the highly successful forward galley layout.
The Dufour 390 is a versatile yacht, ideal for families wanting a great handling, performance yacht to sail either with guests or equally easily, sailing short-handed as a couple. The modern hull and deck design with distinct chines, creates unrivalled volume in the cockpit areas and aft cabins, from the wide planing hull section and transom. This creates a stable hull shape that’s excellent for downwind conditions and highly efficient upwind, reducing the effects of heeling making for a very comfortable ride.
The friendly and knowledgeable team from Universal Yachting will be on hand at the show to talk through all the options and choices appropriate to your situation and experience and to help you get the most from your cruising plans. In recognition of the fact that ordering any new yacht this year will likely mean waiting at least a season for delivery, Universal Yachting are also offering all new Dufour buyers the option of private chartering during the waiting period. This is a super opportunity to get the feel of the handling of your new boat and confirm your preferences on layout and equipment specifications.
If you can’t make this event or would prefer to attend an online viewing, Dufour Yachts are running a Live Dufour Nautic Day, 30 March at 12.30. There’s a variety of sessions on choosing a yacht, preparing for blue water sailing and detailed explanations of the Dufour’s performance qualities.
