Honda Marine Europe & BMA Launch 4XC FRP Boats

Honda Marine Europe is announcing the launch of the exclusive 4XC FRP range – a new generation of fully-integrated Honda-powered boats, developed in partnership with Italian boatbuilder BMA.

The introduction of the 7 FRP models represent a milestone step forward in the evolution of the Honda Marine 4XC Design range, a concept signifying ‘For Excellence’, born from Honda Marine’s mission to deliver factory-matched boat-engine packages which are engineered and designed as one.

The new FRP range, which will be unveiled for the first time at the Genoa International Boat Show, is the result of a close collaboration between Honda Marine’s research and development team and BMA’s naval architects. For the first time in the 4XC project’s history, Honda Marine branding is introduced on the hull, with a redesigned BMA logo marking the exclusivity of the package.

Covering open to console boats, the new BMA series ranges from 5.5m up to 9.5m. Each model has been re-engineered, with layout, equipment packages and power options matched specifically to Honda outboard engines spanning from the BF40 up to twin BF350 V8s.

The boats stay true to the core values of BMA engineering: advanced technology, a modern and efficient hull designed for performance and safety along the boat’s entire length, combined with clean and functional deck layouts.

The 4XC FRP range is an exclusive line-up for Honda engines and will be available from November through the Honda network only, with servicing, warranty and aftersales support available for customers across Honda’s Europe-wide dealer network.

The 7-model BMA series expands the Honda Marine 4XC line-up of purpose-built FRPs and RIBs, all exclusively developed with the ‘For Excellence’ standard at its heart to simplify the boat-buying process with ready-to-use solutions which are configured and designed around the way people want to live on the water.

Offering more options for customers under the 4XC brand, the latest models are the result of a shared vision between long-term strategic partners Honda Marine and BMA to offer versatility, convenience, every-day usability and a modern approach to boating, whether for holidays, leisure or fishing.

Engineered for optimal balance and power, the boats are matched with the recommended Honda engine setup to deliver smooth, confident handling across all conditions, supporting multiple ways of experiencing the sea.

“Our goal was to create a unified product identity that would allow the boat and the Honda outboard to be perceived as one complete product,” said Kenji Morita, President of Honda R&D Europe (Italia) Srl. “By bringing together BMA’s expertise in boat design and Honda’s distinctive design DNA through a cohesive design language, we achieved a seamless integration of the boat and propulsion system. The result is a refined and distinctive presence on the water, delivering a premium and engaging customer experience.”

Cristian Pellegrino, General Manager, Honda Marine Europe, said: “Born from the perfect synergy between engine and boat, the 4XC concept has already set new standards in combining high performance with distinctive design to deliver unique benefits for all boat lovers. We are excited to continue the story through our expanded strategic partnership with BMA and proud that the new FRP range will carry the Honda Marine brand on the hull for the first time.

“At the centre of the 4XC FRP range is the idea of a complete, customised and integrated boating experience which remains true to the ‘For Excellence’ standard, with an optimised BMA design that aligns perfectly with Honda engines and the needs of today’s customers.”

William Breventani, CEO of Ribitaly – the parent company behind the brands of BMA and BWA, commented: “This expanded partnership marks a proud milestone for BMA. Uniting our distinctive hull designs with Honda’s legendary engineering excellence under the Honda Marine brand creates a powerful synergy that will set a new benchmark for the market.”

The launch of the 4XC FRP range takes place at Genoa International Boat Show from 1st to 6th October, where sea trial opportunities will be available.

The new 4XC FRP range joins the existing Honda Marine 4XC line-up of RIBs, developed in collaboration with Altamarea, consisting of the HA20, HA23, HA8.5, HA27 and the new HA9.5 launching in 2027. The 4XC RIB range with Altamarea will now have additional Honda Marine branding.
