D-Marin expands Italian portfolio with acquisition of Olbia Marina in Sardinia

D-Marin has announced the acquisition of Olbia Marina in Sardinia, comprising the complementary marina assets Marina di Olbia Yacht Service (MOYS) and Molo Brin, strengthening its presence in one of the Mediterranean’s most important yachting gateways. The move further advances D-Marin’s Mediterranean growth strategy and reinforces Italy as the company’s largest regional portfolio.

Located within the Port of Olbia on the north-eastern coast of Sardinia, the two assets operate in close proximity and together form an important gateway for yachting activity in northern Sardinia and the wider western Mediterranean.

Oliver Dörschuck, CEO of D-Marin, said: “Olbia and Molo Brin represent one of the Mediterranean’s most important gateways for yachting. Their scale, location and infrastructure make them a natural fit for D-Marin, and we see significant opportunity to bring our operational expertise, digital innovation and service philosophy to what are already two very well-regarded destinations. This acquisition builds on a period of sustained and strategic expansion for D-Marin across the Mediterranean.”

The marina offers 270 berths for vessels up to 150m, a maximum draught of 5.2m, and a 200m fuel dock, the largest on the northern Sardinian coast, capable of refuelling up to seven yachts simultaneously.

Thanks to its privileged location just seven minutes from Olbia Costa Smeralda International Airport and the Olbia city centre, the marina offers exceptional accessibility for yacht owners and crew. The ferry terminal is also only minutes away, ensuring convenient connections to mainland Italy. It also serves as a gateway to some of the Mediterranean’s most renowned cruising destinations, including the Costa Smeralda, the Tavolara Marine Protected Area, the La Maddalena Archipelago, and nearby Corsica.

Together with Camille Rayon on the Côte d’Azur and D-Marin’s Ligurian and Tuscan marinas (Marina degli Aregai, Marina di San Lorenzo, Marina di Varazze, Porto Mirabello and Marina di Livorno), the addition of Olbia creates a “Golden Triangle” of D-Marin destinations connecting the French Riviera, mainland Italy and Sardinia. This cluster enables yacht owners to cruise seamlessly between some of the Mediterranean’s most desirable yachting regions while benefiting from the same high service standards and digital ecosystem across the D-Marin portfolio.

Guests at the Olbia marina will benefit from the full D-Marin ecosystem, including the award-winning D-Marin app for remote berth management, Smart Pedestal and Sensor technology for real-time vessel monitoring, and signature initiatives such as Happy Berth Days, which allow annual berth holders to enjoy complimentary stays across the D-Marin selection of premium marinas encouraging seamless cruising between destinations such as Sardinia, mainland Italy and the Côte d’Azur.

D-Marin now manages 27 marinas across nine countries, serving more than 50,000 customers annually with over 14,000 berths, including more than 1,000 dedicated to superyachts.
