Women in the Marine Industry International reveals panel and theme for 2025 event at Metstrade

The influential Women in the Marine Industry International panel and networking breakfast returns to Metstrade on Wednesday 19 November, bringing together an industry panel of dynamic female leaders from across the globe for another inspiring morning of insight, connection and discussion.

Hosted in partnership by British Marine, Soundings Trade Only, Marine Industry News and Metstrade, the event has become a highlight of the show calendar and a driving force in the conversation around diversity, leadership and collaboration in the marine sector.

This year’s theme, ‘Navigating Today’s Global Market’, reflects the rapidly changing commercial, environmental and geopolitical landscape in which the marine industry operates. The panel will explore how companies are adapting to shifting consumer demands, technological innovation, supply chain disruption and new global opportunities – all through the lens of leadership, resilience and collaboration.

“The pace of change in the global marine market is accelerating,” explains Lesley Robinson, CEO of British Marine. “As an industry, we must not only adapt but lead. This event provides a rare opportunity to hear from those doing just that – tackling real-time challenges and driving growth through innovation, diversity, and decisive leadership.”

Meet the 2025 Panel

This year’s speakers bring wide-ranging global experience across technology, manufacturing, distribution and major international events – each with a unique perspective on navigating the complexities of today’s marine industry.

Áine Denari – Executive Vice President and President of Navico Group, and Chief Technology Officer, Brunswick Corporation
Áine is a driving force behind Brunswick’s marine technology transformation. As President of Navico Group and the corporation’s CTO, she is leading innovation across marine electronics, digital systems and automation. Her career spans leadership roles at Ford, ZF Group and McKinsey, giving her unparalleled insight into global supply chains, R&D and consumer tech trends shaping the marine market.

Andrea Tetto – Director, Marine Business Planning, Yamaha U.S. Marine Business Unit
Andrea is at the strategic heart of Yamaha’s U.S. marine operations, overseeing business planning, product management and cost strategy. She brings over two decades of global commercial experience from the Volvo Group, with a sharp focus on market intelligence, strategic transformation and operational resilience – key factors in managing marine business in a volatile global economy.

Tanja Lutz – Director of EMEA Sales & Service, Seakeeper
Tanja leads Seakeeper’s sales and service strategy across Europe, the Middle East and Africa – regions that each present unique economic, cultural and logistical dynamics. With over 11 years at Seakeeper and a background in yacht distribution and tourism marketing, she brings a customer-centric approach to navigating both mature and emerging marine markets.

Sylvie Ernoult – Show Director, Cannes Yachting Festival
As director of one of the world’s premier boat shows, Sylvie has spent more than a decade creating opportunities for brands to succeed on the global stage. Her work has helped shape the visibility of luxury and performance marine brands in a competitive international arena. 2025 marks her final year at the helm of Cannes Yachting Festival, adding extra significance to her appearance on this year’s panel.

The panel will be moderated by Michele Goldsmith, Vice President and General Manager, Soundings Trade Only Group. A long-time champion of industry inclusion and innovation, Michele brings her editorial experience and strategic perspective to the conversation once again, helping guide a rich and practical discussion.

“This event keeps growing because it offers something powerful – space for open conversation, fresh perspective, and genuine connection,” explains Michele. “We’re bringing together women who are not only leading in the marine sector, but also shaping how the industry responds to global shifts in business, technology, and consumer behaviour; driving strategy, delivering innovation, and making a real impact. This event is for anyone who wants to engage with the people – and especially the women – transforming our global marine community.”

Supporting girls’ education with Room to Read

The event also continues to support Room to Read, a global charity focused on children’s literacy and girls’ education. Building on the success of May’s Global Women’s Walk, which saw marine professionals raise awareness and vital funds, this year’s event keeps the momentum going. Attendees are invited to join the cause and help change lives through the power of education. Together, we’re making a difference—one step, one voice, one girl at a time.  Make a donation
