Tingdene Marinas & Boat Sales celebrates another first as Upton Marina achieves Clean Marina Accreditation and retains 4 Gold Anchor status
Tingdene Marinas and Boat Sales is proud to announce that Upton Marina on the River Severn has been awarded Clean Marina accreditation by The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA), becoming the first marina on the River Severn to achieve this prestigious environmental standard.
In addition to this milestone, Upton Marina has also successfully achieved the continuation of its 4 Gold Anchor accreditation, further confirming the marina’s ability to consistently meet high standards of facilities, services and customer care for its berth holders.
Following on from the accreditation of Tingdene Racecourse Marina Windsor in the summer of 2025, as the first marina on the River Thames to receive the award, this latest accomplishment further reinforces the company’s commitment to sustainable marina management across its network.
Achieved in January 2026 Upton Marina met the same stringent environmental requirements set by the TYHA Clean Marina programme. These include best practice in waste management, pollution prevention, emergency preparedness, staff training and encouraging responsible boating behaviour among customers and visitors.

These accreditations further strengthen Upton Marina’s position as a leading inland marina on the River Severn, offering berth holders confidence in both environmental stewardship and quality of service.
