Torbay Royal Regatta

This year’s Torbay Royal Regatta, 19 – 22 August, will see racing for IRC, Cruiser Classes, J/24s and Sportsboats on the sailing waters of Torbay on the English Riviera.

Competitors can expect a fun and competitive racing weekend followed by a prizegiving for all classes. Regatta time has been a highlight of the summer season in Torquay for more than 200 years and was the first yachting regatta in the country to be granted royal patronage.

Competitors and their families can be sure of a very warm welcome and will enjoy a friendly atmosphere and great shoreside entertainment including the traditional regatta Commodore’s welcome night, themed party night and prizegiving.

This year the club will also be hosting two dinghy regattas: the English Riviera Dinghy Regatta (11 – 12 June) and the Torbay Dinghy Regatta (8 – 9 October).

Free berthing  is included in the entry fees and from the sheltered harbour there is quick and easy access to the race areas.
