Swanwick Yachting Showcase confirms 2027 return following successful debut

Swanwick Yachting Showcase will return in 2027 after customer feedback, boat sales and ongoing buyer enquiries provided a definitive endorsement of the new appointment-led event.

Throughout the nine days, a steady flow of prospective buyers were welcomed to Swanwick Marina for pre-arranged, dedicated appointments, stepping aboard new and pre-owned yachts and meeting directly with sales teams across sail, power and catamarans.

Customer feedback reinforced the success of the format, with buyers highlighting the “time and space to look at a variety of boats properly” and describing the Showcase as “extremely worthwhile”, with “much more to see than I had anticipated”.

The customer response was backed by tangible commercial results. Participating brokers – Universal Yachting, Ancasta, Clipper, Sea Ventures and MiCats – reported both new and pre-owned boats were sold during the Showcase, with further enquiries now being actively progressed by the respective sales teams.

It is this resounding endorsement from buyers, together with the commercial success reported by participating dealers, that has led organisers to confirm Swanwick Yachting Showcase will return in 2027.

At Ancasta, around 70% of visitors arrived with pre-booked appointments, reflecting the intent of many of those attending. Recognising that buying a boat is a considered process, the appointment-led format gave buyers dedicated time to explore different models, ask detailed questions and refine their requirements, while allowing sales teams to better understand their boating ambitions and help them progress towards the right choice.

Stuart Brotherton, Sales Director at Ancasta, said: “What has really stood out is the quality of the conversations we’ve been able to have. People visited because they were genuinely interested in buying a boat, which allowed us to spend meaningful time onboard with them, understand what they were looking for and answer their questions in depth.

“The appointment-led format gave visitors the freedom to explore the boats at their own pace, while giving our brokers the time and space to build relationships and offer informed advice.”

Chris Warwick of Universal Yachting said: “The Swanwick Yachting Showcase was extremely positive for us, resulting in two boat sales with further opportunities to follow. The relaxed format allowed buyers to compare our Dufour models and discuss their requirements with us in greater depth.

“The UK premiere of the Rhéa 23 Origine also attracted significant interest and provided an excellent introduction to the brand following our appointment as UK dealer.”

Vicky Farrow, Managing Director of Sea Ventures, added: “We were very pleased with the quality of buyers throughout the Showcase. There was a steady flow of people who were there to buy a boat, and customers valued the opportunity to explore both new and used boats.”

More than 50 new and pre-owned yachts were on show during the Showcase, with Ancasta, Clipper Marine, MiCats, Sea Ventures, Sunseeker and Universal Yachting representing a broad range of sail, power and catamaran brands. The line-up included yachts from Bavaria, Beneteau, Dufour, Jeanneau and Fountaine Pajot, alongside an extensive selection of brokerage boats.

Six sailing yachts made their UK show debuts during the event, while the Rhéa 23 Origine made its UK premiere. Selected yachts were also available for sea trials.

Planning is now underway for Swanwick Yachting Showcase 2027, with dates and further details to be announced in due course.
