HONDA MARINE UK LAUNCHES ENHANCED HIGH-POWER ENGINES TO UK MARKET AT SOUTHAMPTON BOAT SHOW

In a UK market debut, Honda Marine UK introduces its significantly-enhanced high-power 4-cylinder and V6 outboard engines on Stand P090 on day one of the Southampton Boat Show.

The upgraded Honda Marine BF150 and BF250 are both on display for visitors, showcasing several new components and leading design elements to further enhance engine performance, durability, comfort, style, fuel efficiency, and ease of use and maintenance for boaters and water sport enthusiasts.

Ideal for large boats for leisure, sport and commercial use, the two outboards are among several models across the Honda 4-cylinder range (BF115, BF135 and BF150) and V6 engine series (BF200, BF225 and BF250) which now feature the upgraded technology, exclusive features and a sleek new exterior.

The enhanced engines, offered in the signature Honda Marine colours of Aquamarine Silver, Grand Prix White and the new Sporty White, incorporate the stylish design which follows the form and the function of the award-winning flagship Honda BF350 V8, offering key benefits to improve the on-water experience.

With a superb fit and finish and high-rigidity parts that stand up to harsh conditions, they are available with either Honda drive-by-wire or mechanical control systems. Drive-by-wire models are updated to include the same automatic tilt, trim support and cruise control features found on the flagship BF350 V8.

Also new for 2025, Honda Marine introduces the Sporty White version of its most powerful, technologically advanced BF350 V8 outboard.

Honda Marine has updated a significant number of features on its high-power 4 cylinder and V6 models to improve engine performance and make operation easy and intuitive. Upgraded components ensure greater durability and reliability, while further updates have been made for easier engine installation and maintenance.

The new outboards incorporate Honda exclusives, including Boosted Low Speed Torque (BLAST™) that advances the ignition curve for dramatically improved holeshot performance and Variable Valve Timing & Electronic Control (VTEC®) that provides smooth power delivery throughout the engine’s operating range, delivering more power with increased fuel efficiency.

The launch of the enhanced engines in the UK and Europe marks a key stage in Honda Marine’s commitment to growth in the region, with a reinforced mission for closer engagement with customers to answer the demands of the evolving outboard engine market with turnkey, whole boat solutions with pre-paired engine and boat configurations.

For the first time at Southampton Boat Show, Honda Marine UK joins forces with Highfield Boats to showcase their boat-engine packages on the same stand.

The Stand P090 features five Honda-powered Highfield Boats, plus three Maxima boats, which are optimised by the selection of Honda as preferred supplier, and Honwave inflatables, also paired with Honda engines.

The enhanced high-power 4-cylinder and V6 models are available from Honda Marine Europe’s dealer network from early 2026.
