Haslar Yacht Club, based at Gosport in Portsmouth Harbour, has launched its most ambitious events programme ever for 2026. It includes social events, training and rallies to Solent ports, harbours and anchorages, and beyond.
The programme is designed to appeal to all boaters, whether sail or power, and whatever their level of experience.
Jem Nicholls, HYC’s events secretary, said: “Haslar Yacht Club is a very friendly club with a very active programme of events throughout the season and during the winter months. We aim to provide our members with interesting destinations that include enjoyable socialising. We also offer our members training and talks ashore.”
Haslar Yacht Club was established in 2009 for and by cruising sailors, both sail and power, keen to make more of their time on the water with like-minded friends. The club actively welcomes new members wherever they are berthed. The club has no premises of its own and very low overhead costs. It is run entirely by volunteers and a remarkably low subscription of £45 pa, which includes all members of the same household.
