National marina group boatfolk invites boating enthusiasts and curious newcomers to the Deacons Marina Big Weekend event, in collaboration with on-site Force 4 Chandlery and supported by Pantaenius alongside other on-site businesses at Deacons Marina, taking place from Friday 30 May to Sunday June.

The Big Weekend is a free to attend, family-friendly open weekend at Deacons Marina, offering visitors the opportunity to discover why this Marina is such a popular location for boaters. The event boasts an impressive lineup of activities including talks throughout the weekend from the Coastguard around water safety, with the RNLI offering lifejacket checks, and discussions about biodiversity and sustainability from Portsmouth University on Saturday.

The event will also welcome several Force 4’s suppliers offering exclusive discounts; Force 4 offer a comprehensive range of marine equipment, electronics and sailing clothing. With over 40 years of experience, they are a trusted resource for sailors and boaters across the country.

“To make the weekend even more worthwhile, we’re running exclusive deals on clothing, chandlery and selected electronics — so whether you’re upgrading your kit or getting ready for the season, there’ll be something for everyone. On Saturday 31st, in collaboration with Seago Yachting, we’re also offering a flare disposal service for out-of-date pyrotechnics. Simply bring your old flares along – disposal costs just £1.50 per flare.”
