Following a successful London Private View at St Katharine Docks, British luxury yacht builder, Oyster Yachts, announces a new 80-foot model, alongside new initiatives to enhance their ownership experiences and build on the successful format of the Oyster World Rally.
The Private View showcased four yachts, the Oyster 565, 595, 675 and 885 Series II, side-by-side. With hundreds of clients visiting the show, a series of expert-led masterclasses also offered insights into bluewater sailing topics, including ocean weather, sailing in high latitudes, downwind sail configurations and accessing remote, global adventure on board an Oyster.
Thursday 1 May saw the public announcement of the Oyster 805, an 80-foot superyacht inspired model, expected to launch in 2027. This latest innovation, designed in partnership with Humphreys Yacht Design, combines classic Oyster styling with innovative new features and configuration options that mark a bold new era of luxury, versatility and adventure.
In addition to the 805 reveal, CEO Ashley Highfield introduced the company’s latest developments, aimed at enhancing the Oyster ownership experience:
- The Explorers Club. Building on the success of the Oyster World Rally, Oyster is making global cruising accessible with fully supported, curated voyages to remote and extraordinary destinations.
- The Bluewater Academy. Helping new owners turn their sailing dreams into extraordinary reality, Oyster is now offering bespoke sailing training tailored to individual skill level and delivered by expert instructors on board the world’s finest bluewater cruisers.
- The Oyster 595 Series II. An updated and refreshed look at Oyster’s best-selling model, the SII version of their 60-foot yacht will include evolved styling with larger hull ports and expanded seascape windows, remastered features below deck and upgraded connected technologies throughout.
Earlier this year, Oyster announced a strong financial performance for FY 2024/25, marking a successful turnaround and return to profitability. The company’s latest financial results further confirm the momentum and continued growth.
Ashley Highfield, CEO of Oyster Yachts, said: “The launch of our Explorers Club, Bluewater Academy and the Oyster 805 will open a world of adventure to new and existing owners, offering unparalleled opportunities to explore the most remote and extraordinary destinations across the globe.
