Registration is now open for the British Marine Electrical & Electronics Conference 2027, taking place on 25 February 2027 at Audleys Wood Hotel, Basingstoke.
Returning after a two-year break, the conference will bring together the marine electrical and electronics community for a full day of industry insight, knowledge sharing and networking. A newly formed association committee has worked alongside British Marine to develop a refreshed programme reflecting the sector’s technical and business interests.
The event is aimed at manufacturers, equipment suppliers, distributors, installers, service engineers, boatbuilders, surveyors, consultants and technical professionals, as well as business owners and managers working within or alongside the sector. Delegates will have the opportunity to hear from industry experts, discuss common challenges and exchange experiences with colleagues from across the marine industry.
The programme spans regulatory updates, new small craft electrical standards, hybrid technology, solar energy, and innovation and design. Sessions will also explore how AI can support businesses, connecting technical discussion with wider business and workforce development.
Training and professional development will be a key focus, with a dedicated session exploring the Certified Electrical Training Pathway as a progression route beyond British Marine Electrical Technician (BMET) training. The session will look in more depth at the pathway and its qualifications, giving delegates an opportunity to understand how they could build on their existing learning and plan the next stage of their development.
For those who have completed BMET, or are considering their next steps in marine electrical training, the conference offers a valuable opportunity to explore the options and ask questions. Employers looking to develop their teams’ technical skills are also encouraged to attend.
Networking breaks, lunch and drinks at the close of the conference will give delegates time to make new contacts and strengthen existing relationships.
The one day conference, hosted by the British Marine Electrical & Electronics Association, is supported by headline sponsor Marine Rescue Technologies Ltd and runs from 09:00 to 17:00.
Tickets cost £75 + VAT for British Marine members and £125 + VAT for non-members, including on-site parking, refreshments, lunch and networking drinks. An optional overnight package is also available, with details on the booking page.
Registration closes on Friday 20 November 2026.
