As two businesses proudly based in Cowes, the partnership brings together one of the world’s most recognised marine safety brands with one of sailing’s most iconic events, united by a shared commitment to keeping people safe on the water while supporting participation at every level of the sport.
Throughout the regatta, Spinlock will provide its award-winning Deckvest lifejackets to North Sails Cowes Week’s volunteer team, who work tirelessly behind the scenes to deliver the racing each day, Spinlock’s support will help ensure they are equipped with the very best safety equipment as they do so.
Spinlock will also proudly support Family Day on Sunday 2 August and Women’s Day on Tuesday 4 August, with Spinlock prizes and vouchers up for grabs for winning boats.
Following racing on Women’s Day, Spinlock and The Magenta Project will host a reception on the Cowes Yacht Haven Balcony, where the first 200 drinks will be complimentary. Designed to bring women together after racing, the reception will provide a relaxed opportunity to connect with like-minded sailors, share experiences and forge new relationships, while showcasing the opportunities available through The Magenta Project’s mentoring programme and helping participants take the next step in their sailing careers.
Robert Trimble, Chairman of North Sails Cowes Week, said: ‘Safety has always been at the heart of Cowes Week, and we’re incredibly proud to welcome Spinlock as our Official Safety Partner. As a fellow Cowes-based business with an international reputation for excellence, Spinlock is a natural fit for the regatta. Their support will help protect the volunteers who make racing possible every day, while their backing of Family Day and Women’s Day demonstrates a shared commitment to growing our sport and supporting the next generation of sailors.’
Chris Hill, CEO Spinlock Ltd, said: ‘Designing and manufacturing products in Cowes for over 50 years, Spinlock is delighted to be supporting North Sails Cowes Week in its Bicentenary year. We have a connection with every participant at Cowes Week, across all the classes, with our Control, Protect and Sense product ranges supporting sailors to get the most out of their day on the water. We are looking forward to enjoying North Sails Cowes Week 2026 as a supporter, participant and as a local business in the town we love.”
