Van den Hoven Jachtbouw to make Voyager 56 Fly UK debut at British Motor Yacht Show

Netherlands based yacht builder Van den Hoven Jachtbouw has announced its return to this year’s British Motor Yacht Show in Hampshire, UK from 14-17 May to debut its Voyager 56 Fly.

The Voyager 56 follows the success of the Voyager series, with the expanded range now including the Voyager 56 Coupé and the Fly. Designed by René van der Velden who has been responsible for the entire Voyager series, the 56 offers a 17.3m hull and optimises outdoor living for an unrivalled indoor/outdoor flow. The Voyagers are built in aluminium offering owners a lower fuel consumption as a result of the lighter hull, as well as higher speeds of up to 22 knots and custom flexibility with the layout options.

Designed for longer journeys and adventurous destinations, the all-weather 56 is suitable for the northern and southern hemisphere, particularly for UK and European coastal waters like the Mediterranean where owners can really make the most of the thoughtfully-designed outdoor areas.

The exceptional interior fit and finish, which is normally found in much larger yachts offers a double steering position as well as a large saloon with galley and bar along with a spacious owners’ suite with en-suite, two further double guest cabins and a shared bathroom bring the yacht’s offering to six berths. The yacht also benefits from underfloor heating throughout. The outside space really brings the 56 Fly into its own with so much usable space in mind with a spacious and largely-covered aft deck and corner sofa, and sunbeds and optional sunroof on the expansive foredeck. The large flybridge allows an additional steering choice, sunbeds, lounge set and outdoor galley with fridge and grill for socialising al fresco and enjoying time outside. The integrated garage for a 325-sized tender is perfect for fast transfers between the yacht and coast, as well as water sports.

Michelle van den Hoven said: “Following a successful show in 2025 when we showcased the Voyager 50, the feedback from show visitors demonstrated there was a good appetite to view our larger models with a flybridge, so we wanted to return with the Voyager 56 Fly this year, which represents natural progression of the range. The response to our Dutch aluminium yachts has been really positive from UK customers, so we’re excited to share more of our semi-custom range at this year’s show.”

The Voyager series, designed for longer journeys and adventurous destinations, offers the Voyager 50, Voyager 56, Voyager 61 and Voyager 71 with the Voyager 80 currently in planning. Voyagers boast a robust and elegant design with an extended range offering the ultimate freedom on the water. The third Voyager 50 is currently in build with expected completion in spring 2027. The next available build for a new Voyager 56 will be for a 2028 delivery.

Van den Hoven Jachtbouw’s alternative range is the Executive series known for its timeless design and high-end finish with five models, each featuring a spacious and luxurious interior. The brand was established in 1992 when passionate master carpenter Bart van den Hoven began building a ten metre yacht in his backyard as a hobby. Today, it offers 12 models from 50ft to 80ft.
