Maritime UK Solent officially launched the 2023 Maritime UK Solent Awards on Tuesday 2 May, calling on local businesses to apply and showcase their success to a wider audience.
Anne-Marie Mountifield, Chair of Maritime UK Solent, said: “The Maritime UK Solent Awards are a showcase for the region and a true celebration of the brilliance in the Solent’s maritime cluster. It’s an evening that allows individual businesses to thank their employees, to engage with otherorganisations as well as to celebrate the year’s past achievements and look forward to new opportunities.”
Andy Page, Managing Director of Chartwell Marine, who won the International Trade and Business of the Year Awards in 2022, told attendees: “Having won Business of the Year and the International Trade awards at the Maritime UK Solent Awards last year has opened up new market opportunities for us and has helped us to attract new engineers to the team. It’s given us the confidence internally to push new products and develop new services. I’d highly recommend pursuing these awards.”
