Whitehaven Marina increases berth capacity

Whitehaven Marina has announced the instalment of over one hundred brand new additional berths, due for release in July 2013.

Designed not only to cater for the increased demand in annual berths, the new space will also improve visitor berthing, especially during the growing number of annual events such as the Whitehaven Festival and Three Peaks Race.

Mark Bowden, Operations Director for Whitehaven commented, “Since we took on Whitehaven Marina four years ago, we continue to strive to deliver the best services and facilities in the region.”

All of the new berths will be walk-ashore with a number of 7m and 8m part-serviced berths being offered to longstanding South Harbour customers at a discounted rate. A new South Harbour tariff is being offered to customers wishing to rent a berth from 8m to 13m; this new tariff will work on berth length rather than vessel LOA.

Tariffs include a number of berth holder benefits, such as four week’s storage ashore and discounted boatyard services, unlimited lock in/out, plus TransEurope membership and Club Whitehaven membership.
