America’s Cup Park legacy

With tourists, teams, and local spectators descending on San Francisco to support the ‘Summer of Racing’, the Port and the City of San Francisco celebrated the completion of the James R. Herman Cruise Ship Terminal, on Piers 27/29, which will house the America’s Cup Park.

Mayor Edwin M. Lee told the crowd: “The new Cruise Terminal is a legacy project that will not only boost tourism and create jobs this summer during the America’s Cup races, but it will welcome visitors and residents to our waterfront for generations to come.”
