An action packed final weekend of racing on the Solent crowned Portsmouth University’s team, skippered by Mark Briggs, the 2011 Gill Sunsail Racing Series champions. The Briggs team managed to steal victory with nine points in front of second placed team skippered by James Anderson also with 9 points and Sam North’s team with 10 points.

The inaugural year of the series in the new Sunsail F40s cemented the prowess of the new fleet of 42 identically matched yachts with 680 people participating in eight rounds from March through to November.
