Stuart Field gets the exclusive UK test of the debut fisher from Sprint Boats.
Over the decades we’ve tested literally dozens of new boats from first time builders. Sadly, many of these boats together with their builders have disappeared into the mists of time, never to be heard from again. But if the Nord Fisher 170 is anything to go by, I’m pretty sure that one new builder, Sprint Boats, is likely to be with us for a very long time.
I make this bold statement simply because this is not a boat built on a whim or to make a quick buck. In fact the builder has put many years of deep thought into her design and production. So, firstly, let me introduce Philip Averell the man behind Sprint Boats. He has been a keen boater for a very long while, In fact, it was just over 18 years ago, when his first child was about to make an appearance, that he found himself pondering the sort of craft he would need if he were to take his expanding family out for a boat trip...
